No matter how much you benefitted from their drastic methods overtime, there is no good reason for inflicting pain directly to a student, unless they accept to do it to themselves, as part of the challenge. As a puppetry student, I'll hold on to a rod for as long as I can take it, but don't claw at me, or attack me in any way, unless you want my fist in your face. I respect the masters who have earned and are constantly earning the respect. There is no such thing as owner in the definition of master, when it comes to learning a Craft.. Sorry if it sounde d abit harsh, that's my inner rebel talking. I used to be bullied a lot in high school, until I stood up.
