OK, I have been having trouble following this thread because I seem
to be missing every other posting. However, Tim has set a very
reasonable context in which to have a discussion- puppetry in
legitimate theater. "Legitimate theater" is a commonly used phrase
to specify a certain type of theater (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/
Legitimate_theater). Getting politically correct over the use of the
word "legitimate" is counter productive and at best has the
appearance of ignorance. It would be the same as claiming the phrase
"straight line" is homophobic.

As the original poster, Tim exercised his prerogative to create a
context for his posting. Perhaps the reluctance to actually address
Tim's questions in the context is an answer in its self.

Question for Tim: does your definition of legitimate theater include
opera and musicals or not?

Jon
