They have a very nice reflective quality that can make the eye seem alive. You might be able to find them at florist shops.....or a multi-store (like a Macy's???) In their home division. They are used to hold flowers in a vase...real or fake..... I got a container of 600 marbles for like 10.00 many, many, many, years ago and have not run out yet. Of course they are not the only thing that I use.....sometimes just paint, or a hole or a little protuding round of some sort of modelling medium (clay, magic sculpt, etc.). Also many years ago bought out a stock of high quality glass rhinestones - you know multifaceted with a reflective quality. They are called black diamonds...I might put those in the eyes in some way as well. I think (at least for me) that the suggestion is what is important.....
