I don't even do that many public school shows, and most of them are paid for by the PTO. And don't even get me (and half the people on the list) started on No Child Left Behind and all the testing and test prepping. I was at a school and a couple of the classes didn't come to the show because the teachers felt they needed the time for test prep.
