I don't know about confidential, but I guess you're right, there's nothing 
like the real thing.
Real performers do it in any condition, with or without monitor.
I'd better make it so that I can practice with the real thing.
Maybe I should join a band...
I can see it, inventing a stage persona that has almost nothing to do with 
me: GOTH FROG.
