Subject: Re: [Puptcrit] Matt Adler's obituary

Hey Kath,
I just returned from Atlanta, where I attended Matt Adler's memorial
service. I was friends with Matt since he met his bride, Alice, six years ago.
I wish I knew you knew Jeff, because I spoke to him for a few minutes after
the service. Jeff spoke some beautiful words about his father. When did
you stage manage the Horizon, and did you get over to the Center for Puppetry
Arts often while there?
Matt, who fought for his country during WWII in the Battle of the Bulge,
and was awarded a Silver Star, was very opposed to the present war, and to
most everything about this administration, as was my late father, who fought in
the D-Day invasion at Normandy Beach. I guess it's lucky that Matt and my
father weren't in politics today, because these chicken hawks (republicans and
democrats alike), would question their patriotism and demand that they wear a
flag lapel pin.
When I speak to Alice later this week, I'll be sure to have her tell
Jeff that you say hi.
