Many types of acrylic will crackle if use over PVA or rabbit skin  
glue. It is usually the little bottles of acrylic paint like Delta. I  
think it might be because they have a higher water content because  
with the thicker type acrylics you have too add water to them if you  
want to get a crackle effect. I don't know why it happens over glue  
and not on other surfaces.
