I can't imagine that most of us are not feeling the slow down. We have seen a pretty big drop off between Jan. Feb. and April calls. We attribute some of it to the hoopla of the Dem. Presidential race being in PA, but it seems a bit bigger than that. The rest of our Spring and Summer is well filled, but we haven't started getting a lot of the Fall calls that generally start for us end of March. I am wondering if any other companies are experiencing this slow down, and if so, whether they have started discussing strategies to weather the storm, so to speak. We have almost always been able to fall back on our Teaching programs with workshops and residencies. Schools are still hiring Arts Education programs, and our Ed performance series at our NJ location is off to a great start this year. But we had hoped to start a slightly longer distance touring program during the 2008-2009 season. Does anyone have any pointers in that direction, during a less than ideal economic year? Well, there is the first pitch, anyone care to step up to the plate and take a swing at the subject? (Sorry, it is baseball season coming up, isn't it?) Best, Liz -- K.
