Indeed, and terrifying. Still, while the information seems important to know, and perhaps thrutful, I think this Jones character is also after fame and power. Just look at his behavior on camera. A very simple answer to global domination, although very tough to implement, can be found in the story: And Then There Were None by Eric Frank Russel. I read it in a science fiction anthology I had bought out of curiosity for the genre. That short story litterally changed my outlook on life, and the realisations made me a better independant and self-confident person. The eureka moment lasts to this day for me. It has opened doors I didn't even know existed. For those who are still hesitant to read it, here are a few apetizing morsels: A planet where no governement, no authorities, no bullies or exploiters can win. Their whole social system is based on Ghandi's teachings. Their economic system is pure barter and based on honor (I owe you one). They have the only weapon in existence that cannot be turned against its user. Here is a link to the full short story: http://www.abelard.org/e-f-russell.htm I wish there was a puppet show of that story. It would be quite a challenge to make it work, because there is a lot of dialogue. The old question comes back: What about Puppetry Theatre makes it more appropriate or this story than Actor Theatre ? _______________________________________________ List address: puptcrit-AT-puptcrit.org Admin interface: http://lists.puptcrit.org/mailman/listinfo/puptcrit Archives: http://www.driftline.org
