NYU is considering a summer abroad program for puppetry and its up to me to get that rolling for us. Obviously, I have thought about the social implications what with Ireland's political history and a potential puppetry and protest course, as well as what with Ireland's deep spiritual celtic roots, a puppetry and the inner spirit of the object course, but in what little research I've found so far, Irish storytelling, music, dance, and the themes of fantasy fairies and leprechauns and such seem to be what comes up most. If you have any ideas, contact, connections, please email me. Yvette PS The school where i learned to carve in Italy is looking for students. I was the happiest I have ever been in my life when I was there, now in retrospect. They have added new courses and they look amazing. If you are interested, email me about that and I'll send you info. ____________________________________________________________________________________ Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo!
