Subject: [Puptcrit] durability

I am considering buying a marionette that has latex head / hands / feet.
How durable is this for a marionette? It will be just for my personal
enjoyment.

I have also seen neoprene puppets. How durable are they?

I have been sculpting in prosculpt clay, Aves Apoxie Sculpt and paper mache
(laminated). I think I want to make a marionette. I realize that Polymer
clay will not be durable enough.

Also, I have been looking for some reference material for stringing and air
plane controls. Does anyone here know of a book or a website that might
useful to me?
