Make a wire loop of about 1/4" (id) and insert it into the side of the hand. The carburator clip fits around this loop, and a welding rod, with about 1/2" of the end bent at 90 degrees, can be pushed through the loop and then clipped on. The rods can then be taken on and off easily, and move well as needed for manipulation.
