Those are long tubes semi-filled with particules (rice, sand, stones) and that have inner obstacles inside (funnels, sticks) to slow down the movements of the particules. It generates sounds reminescent of rain or sea waves. I'm thinking that a hollow puppet with a few compartments serving as rainsticks could bring something interesting! Every move would make sounds, every extremity having its own personality of sound. A violent dance or fight scene would turn the expression "shake the puppet" into a whole new meaning. _______________________________________________ List address: puptcrit-AT-puptcrit.org Admin interface: http://lists.puptcrit.org/mailman/listinfo/puptcrit Archives: http://www.driftline.org
