Subject: [Puptcrit] Projects that get stretttttttttttttched ---->

Hi all.

Have you had projects that stretched way beyond the time frame previously
agreed upon, wether it be for bad or good? I'd like to know!

Background:
I've received news today from the director of the puppet short film I helped
create in 2006 (created the two marionettes and helped with the sets, a
two-men job). Two months of full-time work for ten minutes (or less) of
film.

Now I just learned we're to create additional set pieces for the final scene
of the film, which is a combo of 3D imagery and practical shooting. It's a
ceiling and a horse-head oil rig. i'm alays up for more fun!

I've been talking about it for so long, and am so sorry I haven't shown
anything of substance. Here's why:
The Director has needed a lot of time to edit the film in his spare time (he
works for TV series and documentaries, so is super busy). My colleague and I
have been waiting so long to see the fruits of our labor! Two years! How
stressful! Especially since we know it already looked great (no false
modesty from us) on the "roughs". It was filmed digitally in HD, with the
best available equipement, with all the regular film lighting equipement,
and a few very smart custom accessories. The camera and lighting crew is to
be congratulated on the beautiful work. So you can imagine how impatient
we've grown to see it done!
WE planned to have a Trailer posted online prior to the first showings of
the film. As soon as it is available, i'll let the Puptcritters know. Even
back then (2006), my colleague and I thought this film could "put us on the
map", give us the exposure we both needed.
