Subject: [Puptcrit] Unsubscribing Kismet


Dear All,

This is to let you know that, and why, I am about to unsubscribe 
Daniel, aka Kismet, from Puptcrit.  Ever since I warned him not to 
use Puptcrit as a venue for anti-Israeli propaganda, Daniel has been, 
instead, spamming *me* with such propaganda - and from ever new email 
addresses, to boot.  And as if to definitively prove that this 
campaign of his is not motivated by any nobility of spirit, desire to 
educate, or passion for social justice, but instead by simple malice 
and judeophobla, he occasionally accompanies his spam by 
lunatic-fringe hate-letters - a practice which started when I 
expressed the view  (which I repeat here for the record) that the 
Jews have the same right to their own state as other peoples, that 
Israel has the same right to exist and to defend itself as is 
normally granted to any other existing state, and that a recognition 
of these rights would be a fine start, and indeed should be a 
prerequisite, of any real middle-Eastern peace process.  And I will 
add, just to rub it in: a refusal to recognize these rights 
*specifically when it comes to Israel* - while granting them to other 
peoples and states - cannot be motivated by anything other than a 
hatred of Jews.

I want to make this clear: I am not unsubbing Kismet because of the 
views he holds, or because to all appearances he is a lunatic.  As 
you all know, there are no prerequisites, restrictions or 
requirements upon PuptCrit membership.  But in my book, a guy who 
makes it his project to act towards me with malice and hatred should 
not at the same time be benefitting from my running of this list.
