The new HEROES season, referred to as "volume three" has a theme of "villains", and hopefully comic book fans will be happy with it.

So there are only two ways a puppeteer character could  be in one of the new story lines: either as one of the heroes (and the show seems to have a very large cast of heroes) or as a villain. If the JOKER in Batman movies & comicbooks) is an evil clown, and Harry Potter stories had some evil wizards , that covers puppets, clowns & magicians. Not so many evil mimes that I can think of . Popular entertainers have many struggles.  Being evil is just one of them.
