Conrad In response to your query re staging of The Tempest, I was commissioned to present a shortened version of the play at Stratford- upon- Avon for the quatercentenary celebrations in 1964. We played it four times daily in a marquee theatre for two weeks. The play was condensed into ten characters retaining all the major speeches and story line by an authority on Shakespeare's works and lasted 45 minutes. The show was recorded at the Central School of Dramatic Art in London. If you go to website www.puppetarchives.co.uk you can see a backstage pictures of myself (young) with the marionettes. There are a number of companies on this site, I am listed bottom left, click on and the picture is top right.
