Subject: Re: [Puptcrit] Big shadow screen help

wowo... thsi list continues to be amazing.

for 2 years worth of preformances i have used a sheet pulled over a wooden
or metal screen. that is on top of the marionette stage ( always causing
some tension shadows in the cloth, becasue there is no give or stretch to
the sheet.),. Sometimes the marionette show and shadow show happen at the
same time . but the last two shows. one is exclusively marionettes and the
other exclusively shadows.

*screen for shadow show*. the most ingenious, reusable cloth ive seen used
for this is a *stretchy white poly*. (45" wide may stretch to six' )
stretched over a metal frame made of . long metal peices with holes, so one
could connect the metal at different places. Then a simple strong duct tape
. holds the stretchy material over the edges of the frame and tapes on to
the metal, not the cloth. This is effiecient in set up, and there is no
need to strap the shadow screen to the roof of your car ( as I have done in
the past)

I am heading down to the local cloth and notions store "dressew" to see if
they sell a poly in white on a 45" width.

Thank you for the 10% tilt, it is so simple yet, I see how nessecary.

The show I am refining and continue to work on is entiltled. "The Buffalo
Shadow Play" about the disappearance of the buffalo on the canadian prairies
1860 - 1880's, based on a canadian historian's research.
