Oops--I just checked and did not get the interview. You may have to dig.

Maybe I can forward the original e-mail that alerted me to the interview.

Check out below for interview with staff writer Geoff Boucher. For many decades, a major part of the Krofft legend claimed that Sid Krofft was a 5th generation Greek Puppeteer from Athens. That was a shift from being a third generation Greek puppeteer ---so whats wrong with improving a story?

It always amazed me that having only 5 generations since the beginning of the 17th century, was pretty remarkable. I can just see a little kid explaining that the very old lady in the room is his mother.

Of course, the real story was that Sid was a first generation puppeteer from Canada.
Now that cat is officially out of the bag.

But fret not, Sid and Marty have not totally abandoned their gift of exaggeration when it comes to P.T. Barnum publicity techniques. Thank goodness a tradition continues.
