So far, it worked with all synthetic hair I tried. One has to be careful not to overheat, as synthetic hair tends to shrink, go matte(lose its shine), or melt. So iuse the heat gun at lowest setting, and far away from target as possible. It's hard to control the heat, so this trick is not really great for doing any small detail.
