Subject: Re: [Puptcrit] Wig Question

For some strands or a general single direction, I sometimes use a bit of hot
air to soften the synthetic hair, then i hold them in the position I want
them (or more pronounced), until it cools completely.
So far, it worked with all synthetic hair I tried.

One has to be careful not to overheat, as synthetic hair tends to shrink, go
matte(lose its shine), or melt.
So iuse the heat gun at lowest setting, and far away from target as
possible.

It's hard to control the heat, so this trick is not really great for doing
any small detail.
It's neat when you want to keep the hair away from a puppet's face without
using gel or fixative (both of which are not a good idea to use on puppets
anyway).
