Aug 7, 2008 Bernie Brillstein who helped start THE MUPPET SHOW on television and guided the career of Jim Henson, died Thursday in Los Angeles at age 77. The Los Angeles Times obituary appeared Saturday, August 9th, 2008, written by Dennis McClellan. Accompanying it were two portraits of Brillstein, one of them as a Muppet. The Tuscon Citizen carried a different obit by Richard Vallon (Associated Press writer) Brillstein wrote an informative book, "Where Did I Go Right?" in 1999. Reuters released an obit Friday, August 8.
