All spectacles are fake, by their nature. Here the non-perfect looking girl with the voice was lip-sycnched to. In America, at the very least she doesn't get cast as Ed was thinking. Morally and in terms of upholding any values, the whole thing is dubious. As far as I know every giant entertainment undertaking from Hollywood to Bollywood has a pretty scummy underbelly. That's a part of why I choose to pursue work that is handmade, live, personal theater. B.
