Subject: [Puptcrit] The four letter word!

Mathieu :-)

I wish you well for your job :-)

For years I've done many jobs and drifted in and out of puppetry.

At 55 I've just landed a full time job in retail in the UK, in our small-ish town they are quite rare.

Not sure if I still believe it!

I have just finished working for a bunch of Corporate whores who had 4 out of 5 staff on Citalopram for stress....
However they sell art materials, books and so on. It meant that I could collect all the rice paper and tissue used in the packing and it was prime material for paper mache...and that was it!!!
Over the years there's one thing I've learnt the hard way...get a job that can leave you physically tired but not mentally so.
At the end of the day you can go home and still have reserves left to create...let them take your body for =A35.50 an hour but not your soul!?
Oh yes...I thought your 'Mr Birdie' reminded me more of a character called 'Dr Beaker' from Supercar. It was a marionette thing when I was a kid.
Anybody out there remember 'Four Feather Falls' ????
Best of luck Mathieu
Charles
