Hobart points to what I think I was feeling was missing, when I first asked 
the question.
Some people jumped to the conclusion that I wanted a book for children, but 
I just mentionned beginners.

So, maybe the question should have been more precise, like:
What are the best books that you would recommend to learn how to animate 
puppets, which would include concepts and processes of thinking to make 
better puppeteers?
