Thanks Michael, for the extra info on the drywall stilts.

At first I thought they looked too bulky, but from your input, I realize 
that is a small price to pay for extra stability.

The price tag in money is not so affordable, however, if only bought for a 
Halloween costume.
Maybe I can even turn a profit from it if I find another use for the costume 
or just the stilts.

I found a canadian supplier for some cheaper ones.

I don't think I'd order these online, not knowing if they are real quality 
or just a rip-off.
I'd rather get a reliable brand that is backed by colleagues.
I also much prefer to try such things myself before purchasing.

Or, with time and patience, I could make some simpler, non-adjustable 
versions, from wood.
Yikes, Time is definitely running fast!
