I learned to walk in stilts using Dry Waller / Painter's stilts 10 or so
years ago and just to echo everyone else's statements I think they are much
safer to use and learn to use than homemade ones. One thing to keep in mind
Mathieu is that they are hard to find in Canada (I am told anyway) because
they are prohibited on many/most construction sites due to concerns about
injuries and worker's compensation.
