Hi Christopher.

I too use a wire around the edges (around the form, and around any cut 
opening, includinbg eye holes and nostrils) of my paper mache creations.
When the form is made in a mold, I remove the parts from the mold when 
semi-dry, then wait for them to be fully dry before I add the wire.
