Subject: [Puptcrit] collaborator credits --if any

Mathieu laments the frequent lack of credits given to staff. But at the end of many current/recent movies using special effects (some with puppeteers), countless credits are listed, streaming down movie screens at the end of the films. Even then, many remain anonymous.

With live touring shows, there MAY be printed programs with credits, as there were for Sid & Marty Krofft's LES POUPEES DE PARIS back in the 1960s, or earier (1920s-1940) for Tony Sarg Marionette tours listing the performers and POSSIBLY the builders of the puppets, the costumers, set designers, etc. may be credited. Variations are considerable.

The most important thing is to get paid.

Often as not, even assistants (the second or third puppeteers will be referred to as "& Company" or "and his (or her) Artists".

Fascinating stuff!

Those Hot Dogs are creepy good!
Everything seems so darn amazing!

I wonder if the Artist (known for his graffitis) hired animatronics experts
or learned the techniques himself to build his own designs. If he did hire
experts, I wish they were named.

Wether it is the case here or not, I'm a bit irritated by artists who don't
divulge who else worked on their project, claiming all the glory for
themselves. After all, a collaborator deserves credit!
