After trying a few things that were overly complicated for no reason, I tried the Pannabecker system for removable hand rods, as sold online and seen on the patents website. see it here: http://www.freepatentsonline.com/6663312.html His system is super simple, being a pipe flattened on one side, hosting a 90 degree bent rod inside. The tip of the rod has notches to add friction. I didn't have a pipe of the right size for the rod I had, so I bent the rod in two at the tip, and flattened one side of the pipe as well, to narrow the channel down to proper dimensions. The pipe was copper, so sliding the rod in and out a few times made the adjustment of tightness easy. the fitting won't move anymore, since it has been glued down generously. It works really well, as long as you don't push it in there too hard. Very stable! It was easy to glue the flattened pipe into the head, and make a hole to insert and remove the rod, at will. _______________________________________________ List address: puptcrit-AT-puptcrit.org Admin interface: http://lists.puptcrit.org/mailman/listinfo/puptcrit Archives: http://www.driftline.org
