Matthieu, you make some good points.   However, at least here in south 
Flori-DUH, and my friends tell me in many other places around this country, the 
reality is (not just warnings) people are losing their homes, their jobs, their 
life savings and their health insurance (that's for the lucky ones that ever had 
health insurance) on a daily basis - and the numbers are on the increase.   I 
think it will be extremely difficult for me to go and knock on the cardboard 
box some people are now living in and convince them to keep their chins up, 
have faith in God, and start singing "The sun will come out tomorrow."   We are 
starting to see lots more homeless on the streets of south Flori-DUH, partly 
because if one is going to be homeless, at least it's better not to freeze to 
death in a cold climate.
