Subject: Re: [Puptcrit] Topo Gigio

I am looking for any info on Topo Gigio. I'm sure you all know who he is,
but just in case, he has a little mouse puppet about 10" tall that was
featured in the ed Sullivan show, and in many other similar shows in various
countries. I am building an exact replica for my personal use and want to
be as true to the original as possible. I am sculpting him to be 10" tall
(including ears) with 5/8" diameter eye balls. (I have a copy of Maria
Perego's patent for the puppet, but it is a bit vague). I need to know info
such as length of rods, and the way the moves are distributed amongst the
puppeteers. I also want to know the orientation of the rods (specially the
head rod).

I would also love to know what materials were used to construct the head.
Is it foam or rigid. I've done a lot of research as this is a pet project
that I have had on the back burner for years. I am starting the sculpt and
would love to get any info that is out there. Also if anyone knows any info
on Maria Perego herself, I would love to hear it. If she is still out
there, I would love for her to see the final product of my efforts.

Any info would be appreciated.
