Many modern paintings made with cheap materials have already deteriorated. Foam puppets have a limited shelf life. The cheap art manifesto has its valid points, but also has a fundamentalist edge (that other approaches are wrong? We have already had too much of that. The jab at museums is a cheap shot. Sure, many big, rich museums are "elitist"---it is how they get the money so the PUBLIC can see stuff. And smaller museums which are anything but elitist, do amazing things with a lot less money, helped by unpaid or low-paid workers (cheap).
