First of all, I always find your postings of interest.

Secondly, we are living in difficult times which are changing our abilities to survive as puppeteers. There already have been discussions on how one might deal with these difficulties. But we also have to ask how did it come to pass?

Whoa there, Alan.  I did not mean to incite you or suggest we (you, I or 
anyone else) ignore this.  I just asked the question because it seemed to me 
that the majority of the discussion lately has been about politics.  I was 
not criticizing or complaining.  Just asking.  I realize the situation that 
we as a nation are in.  In fact I received the following email from my 
sister just yesterday concerning the businesses that are closing.

and the fact that people are not shopping. If you have any "gift cards" from 
these stores, make sure you use them, or you will lose them!

 Zales closing down 82 stores and 105 after January.

Whitehall closing all stores

 Piercing Pagoda closing all stores

 Disney closing 98 stores and will close more after January.

 Home Depot closing 15 stores 1 in NJ ( New Brunswick )

 Macys to close 9 stores after January

 Linens and Things closing all stores
