The Six Flags people came up with the idea. We just had to figure out how to make it work. The balls were just chicken wire covered with fake fur with metal strips to reinforce it. The bottom ball had suspenders attached that held the whole thing together. There was a trap door in the stage so I could climb up into the largest ball. Each ball had a little trap door velcroed in place. The middle ball had slits in the side so the arms could pop out. Then the head had a skate border's helmet inside so it would fit right. 

At the time I was a manager over several shows. The guy who was supposed to be in the costume quit the day before the show opened, so I just had to dive in a do it. It ended up being a fun gig.
