Oh, Mark, I hear you! Yesterday, I got kind of mad because I was one of the
first ones to sign up for extended day ( a little extra money there) and I
didn't get picked. So I complained to the principal, and the teacher in
charge reluctantly put me on. I told them bluntly that if they were smart
they would give these kids enrichment afternoon activities such as puppetry
and how I had over 20 years teaching puppetry. She then said well maybe the
k-2 kids would like puppets. I promptly reminded her that the older kids
could really benefit from puppetry and that puppets weren't just for two
year olds. 

Then she said maybe some of these puppeteers could VOLUNTEER at our school.
I reminded her how she didn't volunteer but got a paycheck......geez, so do
puppeteers!!! They deserve a paycheck too!!

Made me a bit angry.....
