Mathieu,
=A0
There's less money spent... Example: $10=A0in materials for a leg with shoe,=A0vs.=A0$75 in materials for the entire puppet/marionette.
As for the transportation, I understood that the participants will exchange puppets, which means one shipping per person, right? There's one parcel with my suggestion, as well.
No less participation either, hence is less work, time and money spent. As I said before, the time, energy and money=A0required to=A0build a puppet/marionette=A0would prevent me for getting involved in this project. It's not always fun to build a puppet :O))
I wish good luck to=A0all future participants and I am anxious to see the results.
Carolina

Carolina, your suggestion are interesting, but they complicate the logistics
(transport and money) even more, and allow for less participation, from less
people, making the one puppet even less likely to be built then the few we
could build as a group.

I agree with Branden, it has a lot to do with getting ourselves away from
our comfort zones.
I've been doing this a lot fo a few years, and since then, my skills have
improved faster and in more directions. I've never been comfortable to
remain in one "style" and when I notice a certain uniformity in my
productions for a while, I make sure I blast in another direction.

I didn't consciously see this project as a means to that end, but maybe my
subconscious did, since indeed, I'm seeing some slowing down in my
explorations of styles recently.
