It's a clear liquid glue made to stop fabrics from unraveling. It dries very fast, faster than the super glue Locktite. It seems to retains some flex, contrary to Locktite, which is a good thing, I think the string will have less tendency to break near the glue joint. It has a tendency to run fast from the bottle, so be careful, be patient, don't squeeze hard. Background. I needed to glue some knots on my puppet eye mechanics, and the stores were closed at the time. Our costume maker on the project was there, and happened to have some Fray Away with her. She told us they used crazy huge quantities of it while working on the epic hit movie 300, needing to make sure all those tattered rags the characters wore would not unravel. They bought all the Fray Away stocks from all the sewing stores they could find in the Montreal area. _______________________________________________ List address: puptcrit-AT-puptcrit.org Admin interface: http://lists.puptcrit.org/mailman/listinfo/puptcrit Archives: http://www.driftline.org
