Hi Carolina.

The project is far from a nightmare, especially since I'm taking charge of
the logistics, so no one will have to for their brains too much.

The final deadline is January 31st.
Go back to read the emails entitled Puppet Collaborations to get the latest
details.
I can send you the parts list later, if you're interested.

Tips:
For a smoother paper mache without a lot of sanding, use very very small
pieces of paper (coffee filters work wonderfully, but other strong thin
papers will work), dilute your glue just enough for it to penetrate the
paper, and avoid heat-drying (use a fan instead). Rubbing each piece of
paper with a hard smooth tool helps burnish it, remove air bubbles, and
creates a stronger paper mache shell.

I just lightly sand my pieces before I either add an extra layer of a
thinner paper (brown paper towels) which becomes a smoothing layer, or a
coating or two of joint compound (or drywall compound) mixed with Weldbond
(or white glue) and some colors, to make it opaque (I just recently added
the opaque factor to the recipe). This sands very easily, can be smoothed
even more by rubbing with a wet finger (water, not saliva), and can be
repeated until the surface is like porcelain.
