I recommend using black velvet to cover your gear inside. It totally
disappears, especially with tinted windows. Also those motel coupon
books at rest areas have awesome discounts, way behond the 5-10% of
AAA or AARP. I don't have problems with cheap motels unless I think
my car will get broken into. When the lights are out there is a bed
and a TV. Yes and the expensive hotels make you pay for wi-fi.
Satellite radio sounds wonderful, I 'll have to look into that. I
like to park out front of the lobby if I get a feeling about the
security of the lot, as it seems more secure than the back of the
motel somewhere. I have had to sleep in my van several times when
motels were sold out because of huge sporting events or the like. I
pull out a piece of black velvet and use a foamie as a pillow. And
wow Bob, 43k miles! You beat me. I'm closer to 30,000.
