Subject: Re: [Puptcrit] Our Short Film Puppet

Hi Caro.
thanks!

I didn't know of a Peter and the Wolf movie being released last year.
I'll try to see it.

Answers:
Our short film (La Cite entre les murs) is all puppetry. It's not stop
motion, although it does have the "look" of it. We had to be extra refined
on the finishes for this film, because it's filmed in 4 times the quality of
regular HD. The DP used the RED camera for this.

The film will start in the film festivals and puppetry festivals, if we make
the selections. I think we will, it's impressed a few influencial film
people who came to visit the sets.
The filmmaker also wants to sell it to TV stations, as short films to play
between shows.

The one we made in 2006 (previously named "Oog", now retitled "Oko") is
suposed to be ready before Christmas. Same deal as the other one for
distribution plans. So it may be some time before we can show either film
online. I'll try to plug it with international puppet festivals. It's not my
department, it's out of my hands now that the puppet job is done, but I
really want both film to be seen. My colleague Daniel and I are not getting
any royalties on these, but we're counting on the exposure to get more and
better contracts and jobs.

So, if any of you are Festival or event organisers, and would like to screen
the films, please send me a note with your coordinates. I'll transmit to the
Filmmaker.
