Thanks for verbalizing that the head is an abstract symbol while the
body is a realistic-style toy body. I suppose this combination is
what make the "freakiness factor" of the character.

You have reverse-engineered a good formula for creating freaky
characters. Mix abstract symbols with realistic bodies -- such a
dollar sign on the body of a businessman. (been done) Here's one: put
a peace symbol on the body of a dove. (might have been done) Can you
come up with some others?

I'm not trying to make a Frankenstein bunny. It's an alien, not the
victim of a mad scientist! Also, LovBun is not intended as a
metaphor. LovBun is a character. Not just an artistic exercise -- in
that case it wouldn't have held interest. Basically this character
came to me fully-formed. As many have said before, I'm just the
vehicle for this creation.

About the character:

"LovBun -- the Love Bunny -- is a gentle creature who lives on hugs.
Remember to give your LovBun lots of hugs every day! LovBun came from
a distant planet to make friends with the people of earth. Love
Bunnies are great space travelers since they don't need to eat or
sleep. When they get tired, they just stop to refuel on hugs! Why
does LovBun have a heart for a head? Because Love Bunnies think,
listen and speak with their hearts!"

As always, I'm still learning about the character, so if you have any
ideas about LovBun's story, please share!

Michael
