Hello worldwide communicators, For those puppeteers among us who Got to know my Wife Jul and I, Julianne Poore my beautiful wife of 25 yrs., mother to our 2 sons Dylan 21, & Sean 18, Our friend, an excellent puppeteer, My touring & performing partner since 1989, my biggest fan, a member of PGLI, PGOGNY, PofA, UNIMA, and The Galactic Puppetry Consortium, Jul was also the charming hostess of 2 annual " Gathering of Puppeteers" parties held at our home in 07- & - 08. Where all Ny area puppeteers enthusiasts and their friends are invited annually. This Great Lady ! Jul . I am very sorry to tell you all that Jul Died suddenly and tragically in my arms, as our sons looked on, on Dec. 14. not two weeks ago. Where is Shakespear when you need him. The lovely Jul felt no pain, showed no fear, a sign of an old soul, and was well loved by ALL who knew her. Jul will be sorely missed. I waited until after the mid winter celebrations to mention this. Thank You to All the Puppeteers who attended Jul's wake. We do not know the light we shed while we are here. Jul's light was blinding. Then there was silence ..... everyone is shocked. Please ... everyone, try to keep a good attitude toward things, as things are tough all over. I do not feel right leaving that as the end of this message as it is so vastly empty feeling. Jul was more proud of me, and my work than I shall ever be of my self. Jul named an animating puppet of mine," GEO." I went on to make a film with it. Jul thought it was one of my best works. I have been working independently on this film for about a year now. It is a " short" using stop-motion animation, and an animating puppet of my own design, name of "Geo." The Visual is complete, and I thought I would release a segment for consideration. The final version is slightly different from this. Plus 23 odd minutes. and the film length is 28 min. I will be working on the soundtrack until it is right, but I like the working music very much, which is not mine. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YX3L9nL1PPc I am curious to hear any suggestions as to what to do with a potentially interesting film. names of film festivals etc.? Some of you out there have seen "Geo at the Workbench" [the name of this film,] in part or with alternate soundtrack. I thank you for all your very encouraging remarks. I do wonder what to do next, and I await the info. which will help me decide. Feeling very small in a vast universe LOVE !
