Hobey, I agree with you one hundred percent.  I have often thought of the 
possibility of rounding up all those self-employed, independent puppeteers 
whose work I know and admire, all those solo performers and groups of two 
and three, and staging a large scale production.  Kind of like saying to all 
those producers and directors out there, "if you don't have the imagination 
to give us a chance, then we'll do it ourselves."  But how to corral all 
those egos (including mine) and different agendas, and how to divide up the 
creative responsibilities?

But it could work.
