Subject: [Puptcrit] using photo light tripods for building free standing sets



Hi folks!

I am working on a production of The Pied Piper with a dance company and a composer. We will be using masks, dancers, rod puppets and shadow puppets. My plan is to build three free-standing set pieces - two center stage pieces representing buildings (shadow puppets appear in several of the windows during the night scene) and a longer piece upstage representing more of the village with hills in the distance.

Naturally, we want to be able to haul it all around easily in a minivan.

Anybody have any tips or suggestions? Photo light tripods have been suggested - and I have a bunch of them.
