You don't have to do the bar codes yourself.
If you have the DVD or CD mass produced in over 100 prints then the company
who prints them does the code.
Also, at only one of Amazon's stores do you need to give them DVDs with
codes. The other Amazon-- Amazon Prime
and Createspace.com (an amazon store) will press the DVD, and print your
covers and they provide that code.
This is how I do it with Amazon, although this process is less
cost-effective than selling from your own site.
