Subject: [Puptcrit] Lighting for Europe

Hi Critters,

We at National Marionette Theatre have been getting a lot of interest
in touring our bridge stage in Europe and I designed our new stage to
accommodate that need. My problem is that I have no idea where to
look for European lighting control systems and instruments. We have
toured in Europe with our "In Concert" production and brought our own
lighting system before, but with less than spectacular results. We
used a step-down transformer that converted the voltage from 230v to
120v, but the cycle rate for AC current is different (50Hz in Europe
as opposed to 60Hz in the US). While our system did work there were a
few issues that I would like to remedy for the next go-around.
Ideally, what I would like is to find a dual-voltage system that can
be used here in the states and over in Europe.

Any ideas where I can source this equipment here in the states?

Sincerely,

David J. Syrotiak
