Hi, Pam.
I'm pretty sure I've mixed acrylic and latex and nothing weird  
happened.  If you have doubts, go to your local hardware store and ask  
them to sell you small amounts of the pigment they use to tint paints.   
I know we've used latex as a primer under acrylics and that that worked  
fine.
