I'm wondering what I can use to prime them so the paint will adhere well and they won't fray. I'm pretty sure "Sculpt or Coat" would work well, but it's a little pricey and I'd rather use something I can walk into an art shop and buy than something I need to have shipped. The final pieces should be able to roll up for storage and stand up to seasonal temperature changes being lugged around in a trailer. I'm afraid that gesso might crack in the cold or from being rolled and unrolled. Any recommendations? B.
