Don't know if anyone on the list is familiar with this "codex" -- but it is a 
remarkable piece of work, an encyclopedia of things from another world, written 
in a totally alien language. The creatures described and drawn, the "fashions" 
-- all very surreal, and a great font of inspiration for puppetry.
