However, having said that I do not think, in my experience, liberal areas are scarier, at least not in the areas I frequent..and I proudly wear that label myself. In my experience, it is the very religious and conservative areas that you have to beware of. Watch out for anything that can be blamed on the devil, all houses must have the same grass and landscaping, and if you look different then you must be a drug dealer.True liberalism ( not the same really as PC), as I am familiar with it, tends to mean that the people are more open minded and tolerant of different ways of living ( civil rights era, gay rights, ..ect..). As a person who has frequently lived on this fringe I can tell you that I myself have experienced hate crimes directed at my family ( the house bus we were living in was sabotaged and we were harassed repeatedly) and other bad treatment while parked in certain conservative areas. In the more "liberal" areas we are welcomed with open arms. Of course, we need to be careful not to over generalize and there are people in both areas that are not accepting and also very loving. This is just my experience over all and of course I have had some excellent experiences in traditionally conservative areas as well, Alabama and I agree Louisianna is great ! I especially love New Orleans..lived on the street there for a few years in my teenage years..... ~ Pixie -- Enchanted Gypsy ~ Travel Diaries http://www.enchantedgypsy.blogspot.com/ _______________________________________________ List address: puptcrit-AT-puptcrit.org Admin interface: http://lists.puptcrit.org/mailman/listinfo/puptcrit Archives: http://www.driftline.org
